    Declaration form to be completed by an individual relevant party such as an owner when applying for a market services licence under Part 6 of the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013 (FMC Act) and disclosure is required by relevant parties, as defined in regulation 189 of the Financial Markets Conduct Regulations 2014 (Regulations).

    Declaration form to be completed by director of a relevant party when the Applicant has applied for a market services licence under Part 6 of the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013 (FMC Act) and disclosure is required by relevant parties, as defined in regulation 189 of the Financial Markets Conduct Regulations 2014 (Regulations).

    Notice of approved auditing courses

    Section 3(1)(e) of the prescribed minimum standards requires an individual who applies for a licence (under section 11 of the Act) after 30 June 2014 to have successfully completed a professional course in auditing approved by FMA. For the purposes of this section, FMA has approved the professional courses in auditing as documented in this PDF.

    Quality Financial Reporting - How To Improve Financial Statements

    In September 2014, the FMA hosted a half-day discussion forum in Auckland titled ‘Beyond International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS): Quality Financial Reporting’. This forum aimed to facilitate a clearer understanding of disclosure challenges within the New Zealand environment, and identify ways to improve financial statements so they are a clear and effective reporting and communication tool.

    Consultation Fund update template and guidance for calculating risk indicators

    This paper is for market participants that manage funds and for their supervisors and investors. It explains how we propose to use two of the tools available to the FMA under the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013 (FMC Act) and the Financial Markets Conduct Regulations 2014 (Regulations) to support the new offers regime for managed funds. We are consulting on a proposed ‘frameworks or methodologies’ (FM) template for fund updates and new guidance for calculating risk indicators.

    Legislative notices supporting the FMC Act regime

    To support businesses implementing the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013 (FMC Act), the FMA has been working, in consultation with the sector, on various legislative tools such as exemptions, frameworks, methodologies, public accountability notices, and designations (the FMA’s legislative tools). We have also been working with the Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Employment (MBIE) on the amendments to the Financial Markets Conduct Regulations 2014 (FMC Regulations). These tools and regulatory amendments are designed to help businesses and individuals comply with the requirements of the FMC Act regime.
