    ICE Futures U.S., Inc. (IFUS) is licensed to operate the IFUS derivatives market (the derivatives market) in New Zealand.
    We are required to report, at least once every two years
    on how well IFUS is meeting its obligations as a licensed
    market operator. This review covers the period 1 December 2014 to 31 December 2016. This is our first review of
    IFUS since it became licensed on 1 December 2014.

    Cash investments

    Cash investments include savings accounts and term deposits with a bank, credit union or building society. You can also invest cash through a managed fund (this includes KiwiSaver) which pools together money from individuals for investments, managed by a fund manager. Cash investments are relatively safe because you’re promised a fixed interest rate. But the returns you get through interest rates tend to be low, so they’re not always the best option – particularly if you’re saving for retirement.     KiwiSaver holds firm through volatility and reaches $94BN in March 2023

    The FMA’s latest KiwiSaver Annual report for the year to 31 March shows that KiwiSaver has held firm through a continuing period of market volatility. Total funds in KiwiSaver have grown again this year, by $4 billion, due to contributions of $10.5bn from members, employers, and government.

    Momentum builds in KiwiSaver as scheme reaches $81 billion

    The Financial Markets Authority (FMA) – Te Mana Tātai Hokohoko – has released its KiwiSaver Annual Report based on providers’ statistics for the year ended March 2021, which shows total funds under management reached $81.6 billion, or double the $40.8 billion held in 2017.
