    Middle-income earners much more confident in New Zealand’s financial markets

    A Financial Markets Authority survey of New Zealanders’ attitudes to financial markets, released today, has found confidence in our financial markets is growing. Overall confidence has risen five points to 59 percent from 54 percent in 2013.

    FMA survey: Investor confidence bounces back

    Major disruptions in world events over the last year have not dented New Zealanders’ confidence in financial markets. The FMA today released its annual survey into the public’s attitude to financial markets. The survey shows that confidence has risen significantly to 65% among all respondents, from 56% in 2016.

    FMA warns financial adviser for advice to clients about COVID-19

    FMA has issued a formal warning to a financial adviser who made recommendations to clients that they urgently move their investments to ‘low risk’ funds in the wake of COVID-19. The adviser failed to clarify that the advice may not be suitable for all clients.
