    New Zealand (RBNZ) on behalf of the members of New Zealand’s Council of Financial Regulators, which includes the FMA, the Treasury and MBIE.
    New Zealand’s prudential and securities regulation was tested against international principles and practices.

    FMA warning: false and misleading claims by CapitalInvestments.com

    The website offers trading on the forex market, stock market, and crypto currency market with the ability to gain unrealistically high returns (starter plan: 10% daily for 3 days, through to mega plan: 10% return daily for 30 days).
    The website is using the registration details of a legitimate New Zealand company called ‘Capital Investments Trust Limited (1547699)’. This company has confirmed having no association with the website nor were they aware that the website was using their registration details and business name.
    An investor complained about being unable to withdraw any of his invested funds.

    Consultation on 2021 Financial Markets Authority funding and levy review

    Since establishment in 2011, the FMA’s role and our responsibilities and statutory functions have increased significantly. MBIE and the Financial Markets Authority (FMA) are consulting on proposed changes to the FMA’s funding and the FMA levy. The funding review has been subject to a Deloitte independent assessment and Deloitte’s findings are published alongside the consultation materials on the MBIE website.
