New cryptocurrency scam that drains your cryptocurrency holdings

We have become aware of a new type of sophisticated cryptocurrency scam where the scammers include a link on social media posts that automatically transfers victims’ cryptocurrency assets to the scammers.

We are aware that a victim clicked into the link included in a post on a social media platform to participate in a promotional event. The victim’s cryptocurrency assets disappeared after clicking on the link.

We recommend caution when dealing with any text messages or posts on social media platforms about cryptocurrency that also contain a link as the link may be malicious.
