We recommend exercising caution before dealing with Independent Brokers LLC (IBL). We have received a report that persons purporting to be representatives of IBL have cold-called New Zealanders in breach of financial markets legislation. We are concerned that those persons have misappropriated details from a legitimate business, Independent Brokers LLC , and the website www.independentbrokersllc.com may be operating a scam. IBL is not registered to provide financial services in New Zealand. IBL is also claiming to be registered with FINRA but this registration has expired. It also claims SIPC registration but there is no evidence of this.
