Depending on how long you are investing for and your attitude towards risk, one type of fund (defensive, conservative, balanced, growth, or aggressive) – or a combination of funds - will probably work best for you.
For more information on these different types of funds, we recommend you visit Sorted’s section on fund types. The Sorted site also gives you some points to think about in terms of what fund might suit you best. Be sure to carefully consider these points before choosing your fund type.
If you are looking to compare KiwiSaver funds' performance, fees and service, we recommend you visit Sorted's KiwiSaver Fund Finder tool. Again, this easy tool not only provides a comparison of KiwiSaver funds and schemes but there is additional information about KiwiSaver which you may find useful.
This graphic is taken from our 2015 KiwiSaver Report and shows the assets of the top 10 KiwiSaver schemes for conservative, balanced and growth funds.
